From our backyard
We designed Cliff House B&B with families and independent travelers in mind.
Located in a quiet neighborhood, bounded on one side by spruce forest, the Cliff House B&B looks onto the entrance channel to Kodiak’s largest boat harbor. You’re likely to see a parade of boats, all kinds of wildlife including killer whales, eagles, sea lions, sea otters and salmon leaping out of the water.
Throughout our home and in the garden, you’ll find many examples of Marion’s art, including her photographs and mosaics. Marion is a master [organic] gardener and the property is surrounded
by gardens planted with vegetables, herbs and flowers.
This is a lovely apartment setup, named for the landscape murals adorning a wall in each bedroom. Each mural, painted by the Kodiak High School Art Club as a fund raiser, depicts a quiet scenic. Each bedroom is accessed from the common room. Comfotable and relaxing.

Welcome to your cozy retreat in Kodiak! The Cloud Room is named for the sky mural that Marion painted on the wall behind the bed—a calming touch that brings the outdoors in.
Just a half-mile from downtown, our Cliff House B&B is a scenic stroll along the waterfront—close to everything, yet tucked away on a quiet, dead-end street. Out back, you’ll find a mini-forest and a lovely park with a playground. Out front? The ocean. You might even spot sea lions or fishing boats passing by.
The Cloud Room offers comfort and calm, with a spacious private bathroom, soothing skylights, and thoughtful amenities including a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, hot water kettle, and large-screen TV.
We provide a European-style, self-paced breakfast—coffee, tea, yogurt, milk, bread, fruit, and homemade granola—so you can enjoy a relaxing morning at your own rhythm.
You’ll also find:
• Soft linens and plush towels
• Local artwork and a small reading library
• Ample closet space
We have ample guest parking. Gardens surround the property, and the deck overlooking the gardens and the ocean is the perfect spot to sip your coffee while watching the tide roll in.

Every reservation we receive is important and special to us. We take great care in preparing for your arrival.
A 50 percent deposit is taken at time of booking. Deposits are
refundable only if cancellation is made at least 60 days prior to your
scheduled arrival date. Balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival.
If a cancellation is made 14 days or less in advance of your arrival
date, you will be charged for the entire cost of the reserved night(s)
unless we are able to re-book the room for all nights reserved. If the
room is rebooked, your payments, less a $100 cancellation fee, will be
refunded.
We understand that life (and weather!) isn't always predictable and
that plans change. If you are concerned about losing money because of a
canceled trip, interrupted trip, lost bags, delayed trip, or medical
emergency, we recommend that you purchase a travel protection plan (trip
insurance).
Check in: 3 PM; check out 11 AM. We have some flexibility with check in/out times. Just call us and let us know.
Honestly, we’d rather talk with real people on the phone than do
online reservations. (We figure most people feel the same way). That’s
why we don’t have an online booking service.

Because airlines can be fussy about luggage these days, you are welcome
to ship bulky gear and equipment to us in advance of traveling to Kodiak. We will gladly store it until you arrive. Please contact us to make arrangements.
